Liquid Production and Packaging

  • Situated on 5 acres
  • Located in Junction City, OR, 2 minutes from Eugene Airport
  • Building constructed in 1981, 12,000 sq. ft., 2000 sq. ft. of office space
  • Houses Corporate Offices, R&D Lab, Tank Farm, Liquid Production Plant, and Liquid Packaging Line
  • Small Bottle Liquid Packaging Line: Located within corporate office structure

  • 10,000 Sq. Ft. Warehouse
  • Up to 4 head S.S. filling machine
  • Can bottle 24 oz to 1 gallon containers
  • Two sided labeler and automated capper
  • Current production capability for 24 oz bottles / 500 bottles per hour
  • Currently running 1 shift (8 hours), producing 333 cases of 12 per day
  • Three shift capacity….1000 cases per day. Additional 4 heads double production
  • Currently packaging Slug & Snail Liquids, Lime Sulfur, 20-0-0 SRN, 7-0-17 Phosphonate, Moss control, and Custom Packaging
  • Also contains a warm room that can handle acids and solid emulsifiers
  • Or-Cal recently purchased a Crandel Filler for 2.5 and 5 gallon containers
  • Liquid Production Plant and Tank Farm: Located on the grounds of the corporate offices

  • 4,500 Sq. Ft
  • Contains a sand mill, cowels blade, s.s. pressure vessel with recirculation and heating and cooling towers
  • K-1 - 250 gallon variable speed s.s. pressure vessel
  • K-2 - 750 gallon s.s. variable speed mixing vessel, cool and heat capabilities
  • K-3 - 1,300 gallon s.s. mixer and liquid storage, can add heat if necessary
  • K-4 – 7,000 gallon s.s. mixer and liquid storage. Spring of 2006!
  • Production capability is approximately 1000 to 1,700 gallons per day
  • This site is approved for pharmaceutical drug production and is in Eli Lilly’s master drug file
  • Currently producing 1.5% R.T.U. and 10.5% Hose n Go Slug & Snail Liquids, Tetrasul, Lime Sulfur, and Moss Control products
  • Also produce a 20-0-0 Liquid SRN and a 7-0-17 Liquid Phosphonate
  • They also house Lime Sulfur, Glycol, and Alcohol in the Tank Farm
  • The Tank Farm has a 4,500 vessel available with 6 additional pads
  • Research & development

  • Or-Cal has a full formulation laboratory headed by George Baker and they use two outside specialist to assist in final formulations, Debra Carter and George Beestman. They also assist their customers with retail market information and packaging design
  • Dry Production and Packaging

    Dry Materials Processing, Packaging and Warehousing Facility:

  • 29,000 sq. ft. total
  • 2,800 sq. ft. devoted to dry material processing
  • 9,500 sq. ft. devoted to packaging
  • 16,200 sq. ft. devoted to warehousing
  • Dry Materials Processing:

  • Drum mixer mixes batches up to 8,000 pounds. Mixed materials can be sent to packaging or processed further
  • 125 HP pellet mill currently producing 3/32" diameter slug and snail bait pellets at the rate of 2.75 ton per hour. Size and rate depend upon materials being pelletized
  • Crumbler can be used to reduce dry raw materials or grind pellets into a consistent and homogenous meal
  • Coating machine bonds chemical or other materials using a water based polymer to pellets or other base material. Currently coating slug and snail bait pellets at the rate of 125 pounds or 3.25 cu. ft. per minute
  • Dry Materials Packaging:

  • Cartoning machine capable of packaging up to 25 cartons per minute
  • Pouch filling machine capable of filling and sealing up to 24 pouches per minute. Can fill pouches with corner fitment or flat plastic bags up to 5 pounds
  • Hard container line capable of filling up to 12 bottles, jars, jugs, pails or canisters per minute
  • Capable of bagging materials from 1 pound up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of filling bulk totes up to 3,000 pounds
